Knowing who Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah is a very important case and a provision for every Muslim who desires truth. Rosululloh shalallohu 'alaihi wasallam has said that this race will split into seventy-three groups and were really only one of Ahlus Sunna Wal Jamaah.
Rosululloh shalallohu 'alaihi wasallam said:
ألا إن من قبلكم من أهل الكتاب افترقوا على ثنتين وسبعين ملة. وإن هذه الملة ستفترق على ثلاث وسبعين. ثنتان وسبعون في النار, وواحدة في الجنة. وهي الجماعة.
"Know verily those before you from among the People of the Book split into seventy-two religious groups. Indeed, these people will be divided into seventy-three religious denominations. Seventy-two is going to Hell, while the other group will go to heaven, that "al-Jama'ah." (HR. Abu Dawud dihasankan by al-Albani)
Shalallohu Prophet 'alaihi wasallam also said:
وإن بني إسرائيل تفرقت على ثنتين وسبعين ملة وتفترق أمتي على ثلاث وسبعين ملة كلهم ​​في النار إلا ملة واحدة, قالوا: ومن هي يا رسول الله? قال: ما أنا عليه وأصحابي.
"Behold the children of Israel broken to be seventy-two millah, all of them in Hell except one religious group alone and my Ummah will split into seventy-three denominations, which are all in Hell except one religious group. Based on two hadith that has been mentioned, it is the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah are those who follow the footsteps of the Messenger and his companions in understanding and practicing Islam.
Ahlus Sunna wal Jama'ah also cling to the methodology of which has been pursued by the priests of the three best generations of people. Namely generation of Companions, tabi'in, and tabiut tabi'in. About ath-Thoifatul Manshuroh, Rosululloh shalallohu upon:
لا تزال طائفة من أمتى يقاتلون على الحق ظاهرين إلى يوم القيامة

In connection with the naming al-Ghuroba, Rosululloh shalallohu 'alaihi wasallam said in a hadith narrated by Imam Muslim, namely:
بدأ الإسلام غريبا, وسيعود كما بدأ غريبا, فطوبى للغرباء
"Islam came in a state of alienation, and later will come back alienated as the beginning, then lucky for those who are alienated."
The meaning of al-Ghuroba, is as in the hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad from Abdulloh bin Amr bin al-As rodhiyallohu 'anhu that the Messenger shalallohu' alaihi wasallam said:
أناس صالحون في أناس سوء كثير من يعصيهم أكثر ممن يطيعهم.
"They are the ones who Salih who live in a society that is dominated by people who are poor. People who oppose the people Salih more than obey. "(HR. Ahmad)

In a hadith narrated by Imam Thobroni, Rosululloh shalallohu 'alaihi wasallam also said about the meaning of al-Ghuroba:
الذين يصلحون عند فساد الناس.

Naming the term Ahlus Sunnah has been there since the first generation of Islam in the period that glorified Allah, namely the generation of friends, tabi'in, and tabiut tabi'in. Dalil said this, as the word of Allah Ta'ala:

The term Ahlus Sunnah According Ulama Salaf
The term Ahlus Sunnah, then followed by all Salaf, among them:
First, Imam Ayyub as-Sikhtiyani said, "When I reported on the death of one of Ahlus Sunnah as though lost one of my limbs."

Fifth, Imam Ibn Jarir ath-Thobari said, "The right of the words on the belief that the believers will see Allah on the Day of Resurrection, then it is our religion, and we know that Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah argues that the inhabitants of heaven will see Allah in accordance with shohih news of the Messenger. "
Sixth, Imam Abu Ja'far Ahmad ibn Muhammad ath-Thohawi says in the book of Aqidah Muqaddimah Thohawiyah, "This is an explanation of aqidah Ahlus Sunna wal Jama'ah."
